Our client is an international financial services organization that provides seamless experiences via electronic payment services to the trinity e-commerce-people-banks. The company is one of the largest electronic payment processors in Europe and Africa owning an internationally recognized brand portfolio.

As a Linux Admin you will:

• Install, configure, test and patch operating systems including security packages

• Provide support for production issues and upgrades, and pre-production installations at varying levels

• Monitor services that are provided to customers although not facing customers

• Resolve support tickets and debug complex problems as they arise

• Support incidents and perform root cause analysis for service interruption issues

• Create scripts in order to automate certain tasks

• Work with different internal teams to understand product domains and address documentation/training needs

• Ensure compliance with security guidelines

To perform well in the role you will have to meet some pre-requisites:

​​​

• BSD, Linux or Unix Server OS experience used for web apps

• Motivation to become an outstanding professional in one of the infrastructure areas

• Deep understanding around DNS, email, web servers, databases, load balancing

• Mid level networking experience

• Experience with monitoring tools (eg. Nagios)

• Ability to work independently (with little supervision) but in connection with the cross-functional teams

• On-call availability - rotation comes once in a couple of months

• Proficient in English - both oral and written

Location: zone AFI Cotroceni but currently the job is hybrid: WFH+onsite
