Our partner is a global technology leader in the defense and space industry. The company is extending its activities in Romania by developing a modern software solution to be used across Thales sites for monitoring and managing sensitive products and environmental data.

This project is a key initiative in the transformation of the Integrated Airspace & Protection Systems business line, and it is being developed jointly by teams in France and Romania.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of one of the platform's modules, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to the project roadmap;

• Provide technical leadership to a squad of developers – guide, mentor, perform code reviews, and validate technical decisions;

• Develop new features using Java (Spring Boot) and React, applying best practices for design, security, and performance;

• Ensure modular, scalable architecture (microservices, REST APIs) and alignment with internal technical repositories;

• Collaborate closely with the Product Owner, architects, and cross-functional teams in France;

• Actively contribute to Agile ceremonies (backlog refinement, sprint planning, DoR/DoD validation);

• Participate hands-on in development and continuous improvement of software craftsmanship within the team.

To thrive in this role, you will:

• Bring 5+ years of software development experience, ideally in a fullstack Java + React environment;

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD), hexagonal architecture (ports & adapters), and architectural patterns such as API Gateway and microservices;

• Be familiar with Spring Boot, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, microservices, and Azure Cloud;

• Have a solid understanding of Agile / Scrum and software engineering best practices;

• Be a strong communicator, collaborative, with a “can-do” attitude and focus on results;

• Speak English fluently (French is a plus).

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD tools;

• Experience mentoring mid-level engineers or leading small teams;

• Interest in complex, high-security environments and scalable architectures.
