Our partner is a well reputed software development center, part of one of the world’s largest banking groups. The hub is well established in the market – it operates across various programs, delivering technology products which support the banking verticals.

As a Scrum Master, you will be part of the Anti Financial Crime & Bribery (AFCB) vertical and you will:

• make sure everyone on the team understands the project’s goals and scope

• help the team agree on what they can achieve during each development sprint 

• facilitate the daily stand-up (and other scrum ceremonies) and help the team reach a consensus

• ensure team availability, reliability and performance

• help the team continuously make progress on the project by ensuring each person is working on the right tasks, removing any obstacles to the team members’ progress, protecting the team from distractions

• facilitate collection of business requirements, understand the high-level scope and foster for quality of deliverables

• help the product owner maintain the product backlog

• keep implementation aligned with the roadmap

• engage with stakeholders to provide indicative timelines, milestones and estimations for team deliverables and solutions

To perform in this role, you will need:

• Experience as  a Scrum Master for at least one year in a large software development project, preferably within the financial/banking sector

• Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and transparency

• Working experience JIRA is a must

• Previous experience as a Team Tead, Business Analyst or Project Manager would be an asset

• Ability to adapt to a changing environment

• Self-motivation and ability to remain focused in the middle of distractions

• Excellent communication and mentoring skills

Nice to have but not mandatory could be the experience in DevOps practices or software development background (Python, Go, JavaScript or Java)
