SAP Development Security & QA Expert
Our client’s Central IT runs a cross-functional engineering organization serving multiple product lines.
You’ll join a governance team that sets the bar high for software quality and security across a large SAP development project and community, partnering directly with platform experts.
The role:
We’re hiring a Security & QA Expert to act as a central governance authority over all SAP development teams.
You’ll define and enforce coding and security standards, run design/code reviews, introduce automated code-analysis tools, train developers, and publish clear quality reporting.
The emphasis at the start is on standardization, reviews and enablement rather than hands-on coding; you’ll have the authority to stop releases that don’t meet agreed criteria - ideally by detecting issues early in the lifecycle.
Key responsibilities:
Evolve and standardize company-wide coding guidelines for security, quality and maintainability; align with corporate policies and industry standards.
Lead code/design reviews for SAP projects with a focus on secure development; drive the rollout of automated static checks and quality gates.
Create and deliver training/awareness sessions for internal and external developers on secure coding and software quality.
Establish reporting on software quality and compliance for stakeholders; collaborate with platform experts and product teams to remediate risks.
To thrive in this role, you will:
Bring deep hands-on expertise in SAP CAP (Node.js) and/or ABAP RAP, with strong CDS knowledge; either a seasoned SAP developer with a security mindset or a security engineer who has learned SAP is welcome.
Be proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript (for CAP) or ABAP Cloud (for RAP); comfortable with Fiori Elements and the Flexible Programming Model, plus FreeStyle UI5 where appropriate.
Understand S/4HANA data models and processes and contribute to secure, scalable architectures; work effectively with Git, Jira and Confluence.
Communicate confidently in English with both technical and non-technical stakeholders; enjoy enabling ~100 developers through governance, coaching and clear guidance organization.
