Software Architect

Our partner is a well reputed software development center, part of one of the world’s largest financial  groups.


The hub is continuing its growth, leading the international digital transformation and promoting its technological leading edge to increase value for customers.


As a Software Architect, you will contribute decisively to the performance of the technology portfolio of the Compliance and Anti-Financial Crime division of the bank, protecting it against financial and reputational losses. 


This strategic goal is achieved by means of a number of software platforms with several applications that work on a Java based, microservice arhitecture.



Your key responsibilities will be to:


  • Define the optimum architectures of technical solutions and lead technology teams to design, build, deploy and deliver high quality software solutions to meet business needs.


  • Create and drive the implementation of the technology road-maps and backlogs with focus on simplifying the architecture.


  • Consider applicable standards and policies and incorporate them into design.


  • Identify risks associated with design and decisions; develop alternate solutions and mitigation plans; communicate them to stakeholders.


  • Communicate with business stakeholders and analysts to understand client needs.


  • Work with the development teams to ensure architecture, design and implementation alignment; provide technical project governance.


  • Identify the non-functional requirements.


  • Produce and maintain design relevant artefacts, including incorporation of software changes or enhancements.


  • Collaborates with colleagues participating in other stages of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).



To thrive in this role, you'll have:


  • experience (in a formal or informal architect role) in developing architectures and application design for complex mission-critical IT systems.


  • experience in a heterogeneous IT environment involving multiple applications and technologies.


  • a track record of implementing technology roadmaps and providing subject matter expertise.


  • technical leadership experience: architecture methods and frameworks; reference architectures and patterns; application modeling and tools.


  • knowledge of estimation methods.


  • be able to work in virtual teams and a matrix organization using English as a working language.
