Frontend Developer (React.js)

Our partner is a well reputed software development center based in Bucharest, part of one of the world’s largest financial  groups.


The hub is continuing its growth, by adding new teams and portfolios of software products, as well as re-engineering and strengthening the technical posture of its major platforms.


The role is part of the Investment Banking division, develpping automated workflows in support of the Treasury business.


As a Frontend Developer, you'll focus on modernizing frontends for a series of applications, as part of the company's objective to standardize UIs across its platforms and migrate towards REACT.js. Half of applications are currently written with Angular, while the other half are older formats (JQuery).




Your key responsibilities will be to:



  • Design, develop and document software components for a Treasury Platform made up of multiple applications;


  • Complete and elaborate technical software design (high level design) in accordance with solution(s) standards;


  • Participate in design/code reviews and resolve findings in reviews (4 eyes principle) of developed source code;


  • Identify dependencies between software product components, between technical components and between applications and interfaces;


  • Measure and analyze code for quality;


  • Ensure that all code changes are tracked and recorded through the groups change management process and that development is scheduled and approved;


  • Capture build and deployment notes, develop software product deployment & operating instructions;


  • Collaborate with functional analysts and technical specialists to complete work;


  • Ensure adequate and accurate documentation at various stages of work in accordance with SDLC documentation requirements.



To thrive in this role, you'll have:


  • Solid knowledge in the area of Single Page Applications with React, Angular and TypeScript in combination with REST based APIs;


  • Strong practical knowledge of responsive design focused around HTML5 and CSS3/SCSS (especially Bootstrap 4+);


  • Good knowledge of Node.js and REST services;


  • Experience in UI/UX design is a plus - but not mandatory;


  • Experience with Nx mono repository toolset is a plus;


  • Strong independence and initiative, ability to work in agile delivery teams;


  • Fluent in English.
