QA Engineer (Remote)

As a QA Engineer, you'll use your talent and skills to develop best in class methodologies to test across the full spectrum of the solution.


Platform and Tech stack:


  • The VeridiumID platform is composed of: Server application + Mobile app (Android and iOS) + Integration points with AD and Citrix infrastructure + Deployment scripts + User Behavior Authentication.


  • Technologies: Mobile (native apps Android & iOS) + VeridiumID Service (Java REST API) + VeridiumID Admin Console (AngularJS application) + Data processing (Zookeeper, Kafka, Spark, Tensor Flow, Cassandra) + Deployment (Ansible, Python) 


Your role:


  • You'll define the plan and ensure execution of testing for a complex solution (requirements analysis, testing strategy, test plan designing, writing user guides, etc). You'll analyze and estimate the testing efforts;


  • You'll ensure testing across all stages: integration of different technical components, browser testing, compatibility, localization, exploratory, API, acceptance, etc;


  • You'll perform Root Cause Analysis and work with the other members of the development team to ensure all defects are being fixed;


  • You'll proactively bring issues to the attention of the team - generate, propose and implement innovative solutions to solve them;


  • You'll work with a diverse range of technologies: relational and non-relational databases, mobile operating systems (Android, iOS - and their corresponding security and data storage layers), infrastructure (Citrix, SAML, AD, LDAP, etc). If some of these are new to you, you'll be able to bridge potential gaps and learn on the job. 


  • You'll learn and connect a lot of techological pieces in a complex product, with a view to always maintaining an accurate high level picture.



Is this for you? Here's how you'll know it:


  • You have a solid expertise as a QA Engineer / Tester,  designing and executing end-to-end tests for complex web applications;


  • You have at least an average knowledge of mobile operating systems (iOS, Android) - security, data storage, debugging tools, etc.;


  • You have a strong ability to perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA);


  • Good knowledge of certificate usage / TLS;


  • You're able to multi-task and prioritize relevant tests on time constraining periods.


  • You're autonomous, self-driven, curious to learn as much as possible and contribute to building innovative solutions.



Nice to have:


  • Good understanding of NoSQL databases;


  • Infrastructure knowledge - Windows virtual desktop tools (Citrix), SAML identity provider, Radius, AD, LDAP, FIDO, etc. Even if you haven't worked with these before, you'll bridge the gaps and learn these on the job;


  • Familiar with Java or other programming languages;


  • ISTQB certification.
