As a QA Automation Engineer, you'll be part of a Scrum team that develops big data solutions and models for one of the Bank's divisions. This is a data-intensive and backend focused role, using a mix of manual and automated/scripted tests.

Your primary objective is to drive the hands-on execution of the test strategy and plan, including the test preparation, execution, analysis and reporting activities as well as creation and maintenance of automated test cases.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Define or contribute to test effort estimation based on experience, tools and historical data.

• Create test data, writing and executing of test cases.

• Design, develop and maintain test scripts, including automation of such test scripts (using Java & TestNG).

• Actively participate in the development and maintenance of the test case repository.

• Identifiy defects based on test execution results, submit them in the bug tracking tool and track them throughout the defect lifecycle.

• Perform test automation executions, identify failures' root cause analysis and compile reports to stakeholders.

To thrive in this role, you’ll have:

• Good QA knowledge acquired in a role where you have performed both manual and automated testing;

• Good knowledge of SQL, along with a solid understanding of relational databases structure and principles;

• Experience working in an Agile environment, where you've been part of a Scrum development team.

• You have experience in automating test cases using mainly Java. 

• Some experience with unit testing frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, NUnit, PyTest.

• Understanding of testing across the full Software Development lifecycle.

• Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities.

• Fluent in English.
