

Portfolio Operations Specialist
Our partner is a global leader in intralogistics solutions and material handling equipment. The company has set up a business services center that unites professionals from Romania across a wide variety of technology and operations roles.
We are looking for a Portfolio Operations Specialist who will play a key role in managing and optimizing the flow of initiatives across the IT portfolio, supporting decision-making, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure that portfolio initiatives are aligned with overarching business objectives and strategic priorities;
Establish, manage, and continuously improve a portfolio-level Kanban board to visualize work, dependencies, and flow;
Identify bottlenecks, risks and improvement opportunities to increase throughput and value delivery;
Promote transparency across the portfolio regarding initiative status, progress, and outcomes;
Collaborate closely with business owners, architects, and leadership to align priorities and sequencing of initiatives;
Facilitate regular portfolio syncs, reviews, and strategic alignment discussions;
Support collaborative, data-driven decision-making based on business impact and measurable outcomes;
Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and business outcomes to assess portfolio effectiveness;
Contribute to the creation of lean business cases for strategic initiatives;
Foster a culture focused on continuous value delivery, learning, and outcome measurement;
Support the adoption and maturity of agile principles at the portfolio level;
Ensure governance, risk, and compliance requirements are respected within agile decision-making frameworks;
Coach and empower teams and leaders to operate effectively within an agile portfolio context.
To thrive in this role, you’ll have:
Strategic thinking - ability to see the big picture and align initiatived with business goals;
Experience working in portfolio management, portfolio operations, or lean/agile environments;
Experience using collaboration and documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, Jira, Miro, Microsoft 365);
Additional certifications (SAFe Portfolio Management Certification, Lean Portfolio Management LPM, PMI-ACP Agile Certified Practitioner) are highly beneficial.
Strong understanding of Kanban principles, flow-based work management, and value delivery;
Stakeholder management and facilitation skills, driving strategic level conversations and decision;
Data-driven mindset, with experience tracking KPIs and using insights to support decisions;
Familiarity with agile and lean frameworks at scale;
Excellent command of English.
