Project Manager - Software Development

Our partner is an European software development company that produces bespoke software applications for businesses across multiple industries, tech stacks or challenges.


As a Project Manager, your mission is to ensure the high-quality delivery of technology solutions to company's customers, by building strong relationships, organizing work and building a culture of excellence.


Your projects could be commercially structured as fixed price, T&M, support or team augmentation.


The role best fits those candidates thrive in structured customer facing environments, managing multiple priorities with precision, and collaborating across teams to keep projects on track.



Your key responsibilities will be to:


  • Plan, schedule, track budgets and delivery of software and web projects;


  • Manage client expectations, project scope, timelines, risks, issues and budgets, ensuring these are aligned with contractual commitments;


  • Work closely with the project team (developers, QA, BAs etc) to ensure smooth delivery;


  • Work in projects that can run on Waterfall or Agile methodologies;


  • Monitor client engagements with appropriate delivery reporting metrics (e.g. health checks, risks log, etc.), taking actions proactively based on this information;


  • Review new contracts or scope of work extensions;


  • Review and approve the timesheets, to ensure your clients are invoiced accurately by Finance;


  • Manage staffing needs, ensuring early visibility and effective planning for changes on capacity, budget, and opportunities related to the engagements you are managing;


  • Collaborate with presales activities when required.




To thrive in this role, you'll have:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Project Manager involved in software development projects;


  • Strong communication in English;


  • Ability to work both under Waterfall and Agile guidelines;


  • Effective budget, risks, and issues management skills, with a high level of proactivity and adaptability to solve problems and make sound decisions;


  • Based in Romania (any city) & EU citizenship
