Our client is Dreamlabs, a custom software development company that delivers innovative projects for customers around the globe.

As a PHP engineer (senior or middle), you'll use your talent and skills working on one of the biggest logistics/e-commerce platforms in the world. The product is an application that digitalizes the merchandise roadmap from delivery (Asia/China), shipment to Europe, customs, warehouse management and last-mile delivery (taken over by the courier companies for final delivery). 

Packages are ranging in the tens of millions per month, with a focus on multiplying even further.

A need for new features, high performance, scalability solutions and technical upgrades create the context for adding new roles into the project team (senior & mid level backend engineers). 

Tech stack:

• Backend: Symfony 4.4, PHP 7.4

• Frontend: Angular

• Infrastructure: AWS - EC2 Compute, S3 file storage, Cloudfront CDN, Lambda functions

• Database: MySQL 5.7

• Cache: Redis Cluster

• Queue: AWS SQS

• CI/CD: Gitlab + Docker + CodeDeploy

Your role:

• You'll develop new features into the existing Symfone 4.4 / PHP 7.4 system, with a focus on high performance and scalability;

• Work with the existing team to plan and implement robust, scalable and secure features;

• Maintain the solution as a whole and implement change requests to the current codebase;

• Write automated tests to cover your code using functional, integration and unit tests;

• Stay informed about relevant new technologies and drive their continuous adoption and integration;

• Some key technical projects on the roadmap for 2022: migrate to a microservices architecture, DDD, pick up GraphQL APIs, CQRS, etc. You'll be challenged all the way and will have permanent opportunities to innovate and contribute.  

• Use cloud technologies (lots of AWS services) to handle large-scale data processing;

• Write clean, maintenanble and efficient code.

Is this for you? Here's how you'll know it:

• You're a senior or mid level developer who has used Symfony and PHP in well-organized, high quality and relevant projects;

• Good experience developing high-load, scalable, performant and well tested applications;

•  Excellent knowledge of PHP, its ecosystem, design patterns and best practices;

• (nice to have) General knowledge of AWS, its services and serverless ofefrings;

• (nice to have) Experience using Docker and real-time container scaling;

• (nice to have) Experience writing Javascript serverless functions using Node.js.

• You're autonomous, product-minded, you have a customer-centric approach to building, you take ownership of your code. You love a good technical challenge and never stop learning, staying current about new technologies.

• Strong command of English.
