We're looking for a talented Head of Network for one of our partners acting in the financial services industry. The company has 30+ billions in transactions, presence in 40+ countries, along with corporate customers ranging in the hundreds of thousands.

In your capacity as Head of Network, you are responsible of all network technologies worldwide, leading a global Network Center of Expertise of 15 staff around the world. 

The company has embarked into a roadmap of migrating its entire infrastructure and portfolio of digital products into the cloud.  The transition is being coordinated from the technology hub that the company has set up in Romania.

This role best fits those candidates who feel at ease navigating into large corporate environments, finding their way and dealing with complexity and ambiguity that are inherent around large scale transformation programs.

Your main responsibilities will revolve around the following:

• Define mid & long term strategy for all Network services - LAN, WIFI, WAN, SD-WAN, Remote Access, Internet Access, Firewall, VPN's, Proxys, voice services, etc.

• Define network services, technical solutions and standards.

• Define annual roadmap to apply global strategy - specific focus on moving to SD-WAN (with Azure & AWS hubs) and decommissioning most MPLS technologies.

• Deliver operational excellence on Network services to all Business Units, including production and request management.

•  Adopt and run a worldwide operating model in an ITIL and Agile framework.

• Secure visibility to all stakeholders around various KPIs on quality, process, budget, availability, etc.

• Build and manage a high performing global network team, focusing on creating a global mindset, collaboration and teamwork worldwide.

• Maintain sharp capacity planning and arbitrate if needed based on workload capacity, business units' expectations, infrastructure roadmaps, security requirements and budgets.

• Define and update regularly a Network services catalog and market usage consumption.

• Work with local IT leadership teams to advice on network consumptions and make best recommendations to secure ideal cost/performance ratio.

• Renew and negotiate all network related contracts - Forcepoint, BP, Cisco, Checkpoint, etc.

• Work closely with security teams and global CISO to define global security and operational policies for network and filtering services.

This role is for you if you have:

• A long standing professional experience in Infrastructure management;

• Exposure to large international environments in roles that included working with a diverse range of stakeholders across the board;

• Good technical skills in Infrastructure and specifically on Network and Security solutions - SD-WAN, Checkpoint, Cisco, WIFI, Firewall, Proxys, WAF, VPN, etc;

• Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to manage vertical and transversal teams;

• Financial and project management skills;

• Autonomous personality, fast and confident decision maker, solution oriented, able to inspire others;

• Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills; 

• Fluent in English.
