Our client is Edenred Digital Center, technology hub where digital initiatives across the business are powered up by a team of tech pros. Edenred is a leading services and payment platform, supporting employee benefits administration across 46 countries.

Context

As part of the company's pursuit of portfolio diversification, Edenred has acquired Union Tank (UTA), a Germany headquartered organisation that is active in the field of fuel & mobility cards. This move is meant to streghten a key pillar for Edenred's growth.

As part of the post-acquisition activities, the two companies have decided to refresh the portfolio of software applications that support the UTA fuel card business. A software development team is now in place, covering the entire application development lifecycle from requirements to production.

As a Development Center Manager, you will coordinate this team, fostering a culture of high engineering standards, innovation and learning.

 Your main responsibilities will revolve around the following:

• Lead multi-disciplinary teams developing the Fuel & Mobility platform across the entire licecycle - Backend lead | QA Lead | DevOps lead | Architect | Product Owners;

• Define and implement standards, best practices and metrics;

• Collaborate with other managers to identify and drive improvements to productivity, efficiency and technical excellence across engineering teams;

• Take the lead on managing engineering projects, providing clear planning and reporting;

• Develop high performing teams through appropriate recruitment, trainign and development of individuals;

• Offer effective line management, coaching and support across the team;

• Keep up to date with latest development technologies and methodologies;

• Engage with stakeholders to define the right organization and staffing;

• Line managemet of technical leaders including performance monitoring, training plans, recruitment, engagement, annual goals, etc. 

• Deliver efficient and sustainable development support activities, in line with agreed SLAs;

 

• Work with the Scrum Masters, Head of Engineering, Head of Product to ensure the teams work within and use efficiently the agile practices;

• Be part of the escalation path in case of support issues  related to development arise.

This role is for you if you have:

• Proven experience of leading and inspiring teams;

 

• Strong experience of implementing good engineering practices and standards;

• Strong experience in team management, headcount planning, budgeting, forecasting, mentoring;

• Worked within Agile and Devops environments;

• Ability to zoom-in / zoom-out;

• Articulated communicator and presenter, able to efficiently convey messages to stakeholders at all levels in the company. Able to translate technical concepts into business terms to get the understanding/buy-in from non-technical stakeholders. 

• Fluent in English.
