Our client is an international Data Solutions company, providing their customers with the expertise and tools to unleash the power of data. It supports modern data architectures – data mesh, data fabric, and data hub – in cloud, on-premises, or hybrid environments.

We're looking for an autonomous Software Engeer (Java) to work on defining the software & big data solutions and customizing the technology (proprietary platform) for some of the top global players in Fortune 1000. 

You'll work on data intensive projects, with the need to build architectures and solutions to enrich data with real-time insights from across a company's full spectrum of databases.

You'll be using primarily Java, Kafka, Broadway, Cassandra or other distributed databases, along with proprietary data management platforms. 

Your role will be to:

• Design, develop, and implement software solutions as part of cross-functional and geographically distributed Agile (SAFe) teams;

• Contribute to the development and optimization of distributed database systems;

• Work within a Linux/Unix environment and utilize cloud services (AWS, Azure) for software deployment and management;

• Collaborate with project teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable and resilient solutions;

• Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices;

• Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with emerging technologies and methodologies;

• Provide software demos to stakeholders, take-up critical POCs and feasibility studies.

To thrive in this role, you'll need to:

• Showcase strong Java and SQL knowledge (3-5 years or more);

• Any work experience with Kafka, Cassandra or other relational database will be highly appreciated;

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Linux/Unix operating system;

• Any knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is nice to have (not mandatory);

• Pragmatic approach to problem solving, solution design and architecture and a commitment to delivering high quality software;

• Passionate, self starter with a can-do attitude and entrepreneurial spirit;

• Speak English at an advanced level.
