

IT Manager
Our client is a Swiss global leading company in its field (manufacturing), with operations in Romania for almost 20 years. The company has been expanding its operations in all areas of activity during the past years and the IT&C makes no exception. The IT division is undertaking several consolidation projects, digitization adapting to the new realities, implementation of SAP S4Hanna, etc.

Location is flexible in one of our main sites: Bucharest / Brasov / Ploiesti
Goal and purpose of position
As Country IT Manager you will lead the IT organization of the company in Romania, coordinate the service operation and digitalization projects, align local business requirements with Business and Tech IT on area and regional level.
Your main responsibilities will cover a number of areas such as:
People management:
- Lead the local Business IT team
- Ensure adequate training of the staff in alignment with their current responsibilities and future needs
- Enforce Guiding Policies & Principles in the Country
IT & Digital Strategy / Governance:
- Support the definition and implementation of EMEA Digital/IT strategy in alignment with the Group strategy
- Make sure that all new initiatives are aligned with the overall company's Enterprise Architecture and the Business IT Area Manager
- Ensure that the IT landscape (devices, licenses, applications) are properly documented
- Enforce IT governance to minimize operational risk, comply with defined group policies, legislation and meet IT security standards on adequate level
Stakeholder Management and collaboration:
- Regularly meet with Business IT Area Manager and GM to report on Business IT activities and consult / align on business requirements to support the digitization and Business IT service provisioning.
Service delivery management:
- Manage company’s Digital Workplace, mobiles and printer services in the area, ensuring software versions are up to date followed by the Group IT guidance
- Life cycle management for end-user devices including an updated asset management
- Provide end-user application support, covering all standard IT processes (incidents, services requests, change management)
- Monitor and improve quality of local IT Service delivery and assess adherence to service level agreements
- Coordinate with regional Tech IT on availability and performance of networks, storage and applications
Project and Portfolio Management:
- Manage new implementations
- Acquisitions: engage in Due Diligence activities and provide an assessment of the acquisition candidate (IT landscape, IT cost, risks); manage acquisition integration according to the defined IT integration process in close collaboration with regional and global teams
Vendor Management:
- Adhere to company’s Group Solutions and Group Products and evaluate local solutions in case there is no adequate offering from the Group
Process management:
- Provide support with tools helping to optimize, automate, digitalize business processes
Align business process requirements with available systems and use change management procedures if needed.
IT cost management:
- Manage IT/OT investments and IT/OT cost to achieve a reduction of IT workplace cost per user
- Support the Group IT Budgeting process by planning of local IT cost as a result of operation or planned projects
Security management:
- Ensure IT continuity operation concept is in place and aligned with Business IT Area Manager and Regional Tech IT.
- Plan and execute local self audits in alignment with the IT Security Audit plan and framework of Corp. Cyber Security
This job fits you best if you have:
Solid experience in leading a small IT support team (at least 3-4 years)
Extensive experience as an IT Manager, preferably in a multi-location company acting in industrial manufacturing
Experience with managing a Microsoft based environment
Experience with implementing SAP solutions
Experience and skills in interacting with the business and drawing their requirements into projects
Working knowledge of implementing and effectively managing most of the above requirements
A mature attitude focused on promoting and implementing change, resilience, persistence, assertive communication skills
Good command of English (written, spoken)
Driver license cat B (occasional travel to company's sites)
