Frontend Engineer (React.js)

We have an opportunity for a Frontend Developer (React) to contribute scaling up an innovative product in the debt collection (invoice-to-cash) industry.


The employer (our client) is a Swedish technology scale-up that establishes a development team in Bucharest, as part of the company's strategy to target becoming a leader in the European consumer billing market. 


The product is mainly used by utilities or telecom providers to handle their billing and payments processing with their customer base.


This is a great opportunity to have an impact on the future of the platform, helping shape its interface. 




Your main responsibilities will revolve around the following:


  • Contribute to shaping the platform’s user interface and future direction;


  • Collaborate with designers and engineers to build a consistent, accessible component library;


  • Implement new product features with a focus on usability and performance;


  • Optimize development workflows, including build and release processes.


  • Play a key role in improving the overall frontend architecture and user experience


  • The tech stack used by the team comprises: React.js, Typescript, Redux, CSS-in-JS for scalable styling, Jest, Playwright, Storybook, etc.




This role is for you if you have:



  • Solid experience in React (min. 4 years), with a focus on writing clean, reusable and maintainable code;


  • Experience working with component libraries or design systems, and a strong eye for consistency;


  • Ability to balance high-level architecture with attention to fine UI details;


  • Familiarity with unit testing and visual regression testing, and understanding when each is appropriate;


  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, small team, owning features end-to-end from idea to launch.
