

F5 Big IP Engineer

As part of a global infrastructure support team, you’ll secure effective operation of F5 BigIP equipment for some of the biggest customers of the company.

Your role is to:
Operate F5 Big-IP LTM systems for the company's service customers
Monitor availability, load, performance and errors
Perform configuration changes on request
Perform system updates and upgrades
Plan maintenance activities in cooperation with customers
Operate the customer hotline (24*7, 3 shift model - special compensation is offered for working out of business hours)
L2/3 Troubleshooting and analysis
Operate other security systems e.g. Firewalls, VPN Gateways, … based on knowledge, training and available time.
This role if for you if:
You have sound knowledge and experience in at least one of the areas of IP Networking, Unix administration, Windows operating systems, using network analysis tools e.g. Wireshark, analyzing network traffic across all OSI layers.
Ideally, you have already worked with F5 BigIP equipments and are able to make autonomous interventions to monitor and troubleshoot.
Ideally, you have already used ServiceNow ticketing system, administration and system maintenance of other security products e.g. firewalls, VPN gateways, authentication systems.
You're fluent in English. (German is a plus, but not mandatory)
You're comfortable in a full remote work environment, working alongside a distributed team
