DevOps Engineer

Our client is a global engineering & technology group with a growing DevOps & Cloud discipline in Romania that supports projects across multiple domains, including avionics. 


The team develops and operates platforms that deploy complex simulation environments in Microsoft Azure, while being part of an international DevOps community of 400+ engineers worldwide


We’re hiring a DevOps Engineer with strong Azure expertise and infrastructure-as-code skills to contribute to the development of a platform for deploying simulation environments. 

You’ll focus on automating provisioning in Azure, managing Kubernetes clusters, and supporting CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth delivery.





Key Responsibilities



  • Design and implement Infrastructure as Code solutions (Terraform / Oasis Tosca) to provision and configure Azure VMs automatically based on user input;


  • Operate and improve CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, including DevSecOps checks (SonarQube, Coverity);


  • Manage and deploy Kubernetes clusters (Azure and OpenStack environments), using Helm charts for configuration and scaling;


  • Develop and maintain containerized services (Docker); ensure reliability and performance across environments;


  • Work with version control systems, especially Git/GitLab, and support DevOps tooling (Artifactory, Docker, Kubernetes);


  • Script and automate with Shell, PowerShell, and Python to optimize infrastructure and CI/CD processes;


  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, Agile practices, and pair programming.



To thrive in this role, you will:


  • Bring at least 4 years of professional DevOps experience, with strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure;


  • Demonstrate solid knowledge of Linux operating systems;


  • Show proven ability with Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform/Oasis Tosca, and OpenStack;


  • Understand and contribute to CI/CD pipeline design and operations;


  • Communicate fluently in English and be open to occasional short travels (1–2 weeks) to meet project teams.


  • Nice to have: Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, or Ansible. Kubernetes certifications (CKA/CKAD/CKS)
