DevOps Engineer AWS
Our client is one of the fastest growing European companies (index Next40/FT120) that has set up a software development team in Bucharest. The Romanian team actively cooperates with the other subsidiaries of the company in France, Belgium, Germany, Netherlands and Switzerland.
The company acts in the circular economy sector, giving a second life to high tech devices, in a market that has been growing substantially during the last years.
Job title: DevOps Engineer AWS part of the international team.
Employment: fulltime, employment contract directly with the client.
Type of work: flexible hybrid model, with 2 days / week onsite presence to strengthen the team cooperation. Offices are located in downtown Bucharest, being easily reachable by underground.
Technologies: PHP, Symfony, REST APIs, AWS, Docker, some Lambda Serverless (Python). There are also few legacy appplications in Zend and Cake PHP. Frontend is in Vue.js.
Development methodology: Agile - Scrum
Product: a supply chain software platform to support the company's operations.The company works with top European retailers, etailers and mobile operators - Swisscom, Orange, Bouygues, Amazon, etc - and has a fast growth rhythm.
Your role:
Contribute, in close collaboration with the development teams, to the design of the technical architecture of the solution
Automate integration systems, continuous deployments, updates and supervision and containerization (from the local stack to production)
Contribute to the analysis and resolution of solution malfunctions
Advise the development teams on their methodology and assist them in the implementation of suitable tools
Propagate new practices/tools ensuring the reliability, stability, security and scalability of systems
Document tools and processes
Contribute to the launch of new projects
Contribute to the technical framing in the pre-project phases
Promote the DevOps culture within the company
This job is for you if :
You have relevant working experience with
AWS services
containerization (Docker)
specific observability and monitoring tools
Linux instances
You are a team player able to efficiently cooperate with peers and development, product and operation teams
You are open to oncall rotation
You're fluent in either English or French.
