Our client is a leading services and payments platform, supporting employee benefits administration, fleet&mobility solutions and Corporate payment services across 46 countries.

The technology hub is located in Bucharest, where digital initiatives across various businesses and verticals (software development, security, infra & cloud) are powered up by a team of Romanian tech pros. 

As part of the company’s digital transformation, we are looking for a DBA - MSSQL Server, to be a member of the Global Cloud Team.

Your main responsibilities will revolve around the following:

• Manage on-premise and cloud based database environments (IaaS and PaaS) to deliver services that meet agreed internal SLAs;

• Configure and maintain database servers and processes;

• Work with Project Managers, Application and Architecture teams to plan and implement database improvement projects;

• Get involved in database migration projects (Azure & AWS). This includes planning, managing, and updating the respective teams on the status of the projects;

• Perform troubleshooting on any SQL related issues;

• Support and maintain data and database systems performance to meet business delivery specifications and needs;

• Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes;

• Ensure all IT assets comply to corporate security policies.

You'll thrive in this role if you have:

• Strong experience as an SQL Server Database Administrator in a production environment;

• Strong experience with databases used in high-volume web solutions, either on-premise or cloud;

• Experience with Windows server, including Active Directory;

• Hands-on experience in configuring, managing and troubleshooting Windows Cluster, SQL FCI Cluster, SQL Always On Availability Group Cluster;

• Hands-on experience in configuring and managing database activities such as backup/restore databases, creating SQL accounts, creating SQL agent jobs and setting up database replications;

• Sound troubleshooting skills, analytical thinking, proactive mindset, able to work both independently and as part of a global team;

• Fluent spoken and written English
