Agile Coach

Our partner is a well reputed software development center based in Bucharest, part of one of the world’s largest financial  groups.


The hub is continuing its growth, by adding new teams and products, as well as by enforcing the Agile Transformation - each division has embarked into a multi-year program of setting up mindsets, ways of working and structures.


As an Agile Coach, you'll be part of a global technology structure - 400 engineers spanning across 35 Scrum teams and 3 continents, along with multiple international stakeholders in the banking industry (Treasury).


Your goal will be to support your division to navigate change and transition towards an Agile tribe model, supporting Scrum Masters and Chapter Leads to define their improvements areas and metrics.




Your key responsibilities will be to:



  • Drive the adoption of Agile practices and values, applying a range of different practices and techniques appropriately to each context;


  • Mentor individuals on the team into demonstrating how Agile principles are relevant to their role and shift their own values and beliefs to effect sustained changes to the way they work;


  • Coach Teams to unlock their knowledge through powerful questions, models and problem solving tools;


  • Implement and contribute to evolving good practices, collaboration and knowledge sharing through the Agile Community and Agile Guild in the company;


  • Drive cultural change across end to end value streams, bringing system thinking concepts to help people see the whole system;


  • Lead the team to a level of self-sustained continuous improvement so that they can continue on their transformation journey independently;


  • Coach various roles including Product Owners, Scrum Masters and department leaders;


  • Help Tribe members to improve management capabilities such as negotiation, conflict management and stakeholder engagement;


  • Facilitate various sessions to help teams collaborate, learn and improve (e.g. retrospectives, story mapping, user story refinement, planning etc.);


  • Help manage, escalate and track risks, impediments and dependencies.




To thrive in this role, you'll have:



  • Significant experience in large organizational transformations, ideally in a similar Agile Coach role;


  • Expert knowledge in multiple Agile disciplines - Scrum, Lean, SAFe, LeSS, etc;


  • Change and stakeholder management skills;


  • Servant Leadership;


  • A strong ability to communicate and present to a variety of audiences, including Senior Management;


  • Passion for coaching and supporting people to adjust and embrace change;


  • Courage to challenge and advise senior leadership, in a way that encourages them to improve and embed new ways of working;


  • Calm, confident, open-minded and collaborative;


  • Intellectually curious, loves learning new skills and capabilities;


  • Fluent in English.
