The company has embarked onto a massive global migration of its infrastructure towards cloud, adopting GCP as the main cloud solution.

As a Cloud Engineer, you'll support the re-architecting and re-platforming of a portfolio of Big Data solutions in their migration to cloud. 

You'll represent one of the company's divisions (Anti-Financial Crime), which develops a data-intensive portfolio of solutions meant to alert the business whenever there can be risks of all kinds to the business.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Work with the architect teams and support the definition and building of cloud architectures, as well as blueprints and patterns for common architectures.

• Collaborate with other teams (Platform, Security, Data, Risk & Compliance) to create optimum solutions for the business, increasing re-use, creating best practice and sharing knowledge.

• Drive optimizations in the cloud SDLC process for productivity improvements, including tools and techniques.

• Enable the adoption of processes such as SRE and DevSecOps to minimize toil and manual tasks and increase automation and stability.

• Promote an automation-first approach to testing, deployment, security and compliance of solutions through Infrastructure as Code and automated policy enforcement.

• Help create a culture of learning and continuous improvement within your team and beyond, supporting other engineers in their journey towards cloud adoption.

To thrive in this role, you’ll have:

• Hands on experience working with public cloud technologies (ideally GCP, but any of the other major cloud providers such as Azure or AWS would also fit). Alternatively, if you've worked on a private cloud solution and have explored a public version, this would also create a strong background.

• Experience working with microservices architectures;

• Ideally, you have already worked with Big Data / Data Streaming applications (and Hadoop ecosystem) and migrated them in cloud. This is nice to have, definitely not a must.

• You're familiar with technologies such as: DataProc, DataFlow, BigQuery or equivalent technologies;

• Strong team player and Agile adopter;

• Fluent in English.
