We have an opportunity for a Team Lead who will coordinate the backend team part of a global payments program. 

The employer (our client) is a worldwide leading services and payments organization, supporting Employee Benefits administration, Fleet & Mobility solutions and Corporate payment services across 40+ countries. 

The Group brings together a unique network of 47 million employee users, 900.000 corporate clients and 1.7 million partner merchants.

The product is a payment platform, one-stop-shop for all payment solutions consumed by the global organization: e-money, in-house payment processing platform, integrations with Apple, Google and Samsung Pay Services, etc.

As a Team Lead, you'll build strong backend teams and inspire them to perform at their best.

Your main responsibilities will revolve around the following:

• Setting career objectives and reviewing goals with all your team members;

• Recruitment of new developers at all levels;

• Support the Software Engineering Manager and stakeholders in the UK to foster a culture of high standards, collaboration, innovation and learning;

• Contribute to the development of new product features, facilitating exchanges, decisions making, conflict resolution;

• Take a lead role in ensuring the team meets quality standards and continuously improve;

• The tech stack used by the team comprises: Java 11, Spring Boot, REST API, AWS Cloud, etc. (there aren't requirements for Java knowledge, as long as you have a track record of working in a modern software development environment, either as a TL or as a Scrum Master or Project Manager: Agile, microservices architectures, container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), Cloud, etc.

This role is for you if you have:

• Excellent leadership abilities forged in a formal or informal team lead position;

• High standards for yourself and for the others;

• A good people person, with the ability to motivate and inspire the others to commit and act at their best;

• Experience working in international projects is a strong plus.

• Fluent in English.
