Backend Developer (Java)

Our partner is Adobe, world leading software development company, engaged in creating meaningful digital experiences for businesses and individuals across the globe.


The company builds an impressive product portfolio, which has evolved over time to become one of the most powerful ways in which artists and brands design and deliver digital experiences to their customers, varied pieces of content in the form of images, video or apps.


The role will be based in the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) product team. AEM is the enterprise CMS trusted by 70% of the world's top brands as the digital platform to drive their business. 


More precisely, you'll work in the AEM Cloud Service,  which is the platform that allows Enterprise customers to interact with their AEM cloud instances (manage settings, configure environments, or prepare AEM code deployments, etc). 


As a Backend Engineer for AEM, your role will be to:


  • Work alongside the rest of the team to further develop the Cloud Manager platform - your contributions will split between building new product features (70%) and maintaining the existent ones or improving its scalability and performance (30%).


  • You'll be part of an international team whose core is in Romania - you'll work closely with architects and other senior developers, contributing ideas and growing the product.


  • Work in an "you build it - you run it" type of environment, where you take end-to-end ownership on the quality and performance of your code.


  • Research various technologies and build prototypes or core features. You'll grow proficient in areas related to cloud and service development. 


  • Drive adoption of new technologies and contribute to continuous increase of technical knowledge across engineerign teams.



To thrive in this role, you’ll have:


  • Solid algorithm and logical thinking, backed by an insatiable passion for computer science, along with high standards of quality.


  • Solid knowledge of Java and Spring | SpringBoot.


  • Any work experience (or personal projects) with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS) is a plus (but not mandatory).


  • Knowledge in both building but also operating a service: CI/CD deployments, monitoring and alerting (Grafana, Prometheus), Kubernetes based deployments.


  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
