Senior PHP Developer
Our client is one of the fastest growing French companies (index Next40/FT120) that is setting up a software development hub in Bucharest. The Romanian team will join the other subsidiaries that the company holds in France, Belgium, Germany, Nteherlands and Switzerland.
Job title: Senior Backend Developer (PHP - Symfony)
Employment: fulltime, employment contract directly with the client.
Type of work: very flexible hybrid model, with a minimum onsite presence (5 min from Piata Victoriei) needed to form and strenghten the team dynamics.
Technologies: PHP, Symfony, REST APIs, AWS, Docker, some Lamda Serverless (Python). There are also some legacy appplications in Zend and Cake PHP. Frontend is in Vue.js.
Development methodology: Agile - Scrum
Product: the company operates in the industry of giving second lifes to high tech devices from buyback to refurbishment and resale. The company works with top European retailers, etailers and mobile operators - Swisscom, Orange, Bouygues, Amazon, etc - and has a fast growth rhythm.
Your role:
Design, develop and deploy apps (new and existing) to drive the business ambitions.
Work with the Product Owner and the Coutry Tech Lead to make best architectural and coding decisions.
You'll get involved in development of new applications, APIs or in refactoring existing Zend apps to Symfony.
Support the growth of the local team and the establishment of modern development practices.
Partner with other development teams (mainly in France) for cross-country projects.
This job is for you if :
You have solid experience as a PHP Developer.
You've worked with Symfony and developed REST APIs.
You're able to find the right balance between quality of the deliverable and ability to deliver.
You're fluent in either English or French.
