We are recruiting Mid and Senior Backend Developers (Java based) for our client, one of the global leading Telco companies that develops its IT Hub in Romania (Bucharest, Cluj, Timisoara, Galati mainly).

You will work on one of the most forefront projects, a very complex incident reporting platform that keeps growing with additional features and multiple integrations, reflecting the business sophistication. Some refactorizations might also be needed here and there.

In tandem with this platform, a machine learning system is being developed. This system will be able to take over some of the human activities by interpreting patterns in the network and raising automatic tickets in the incident platform.

• Design, develop and deliver high quality products to support business needs;

• Contribute and collaborate with other engineers on technical and architectural decisions;

• Research and evaluate emerging technologies, making recommendations on best options;

• Build and operate backend cloud services within a containerized microservices architecture;

• Develop automated tests, enabling faster design and test cycles;

• Enjoy end-to-end ownership from concept to deployment, including building and operating infrastructure, toolset and deployment pipelines;

• Work with the most dynamic and exciting technologies today [Kubernetes, GCP, Docker, Confluent Kafka, Redis, Elastic, PostgresDB, Linkerd, Terraform, Ansible, GitLab, Prometheus, Java, Go, Python, containerised microservices]

This job is for you if you have:

• Extensive Java experience

• Databases: strong experience with databases, primarily SQL-based (e.g. PostgreSQL).

• Data: vast experience in working with (large amounts of) data.  A mindset and a true love for “all things data” – algorithms, structures, optimizations, modeling.

• Systems: experience with SOA, N-tier design, experience with APIs e.g. REST, SOAP, experience with messaging brokers e.g. Kafka.

• Interest in owning projects end-to-end and supporting them.

• Appreciation of clean code and software engineering best practices.
