Our partner is Printec Group, one of the most dynamic and innovative software companies in the field of payment technologies. From ATMs, POS, mobile terminals, vending machines or other custom software, Printec partners with the most reputable banks in Romania to develop modern payment solutions.

The Android developer will work on a new generation of payment solutions - Android enabled POS or mobile terminals, as these will soon become the norm in payments. You'll have an opportunity to leave your mark and see your work every time you go shopping.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Design, develop and maintain the POS application making use of all the latest APIs. You'll work on specific customer projects, defining custom solutions that best fit the needs of the banks (and their parters - ex. stores).

• Your work will be a mix of developing new features (as required by the banking partners) and maintenance of current developments in production. 

• You'll use Kotlin to write your code for Android. If you've used Java for mobile development and want to shift to Kotlin, we can accommodate your learning path.

• You'll get trained and will use an internally developed framework for the development of Android software.

• Participate (along with QA colleagues) in testing sessions, securing that your code meets the end to end functional and non-functional scenarios.

To thrive in this role, you’ll have:

• 2 years of experience in building Android apps using Kotlin or Java, and applying Android design principles and best practices.

• Knowledge of RESTful APIs (JSON) to connect Android apps to backend services.

• Experience with banking products or transactions technologies would be good, but not mandatory.

• Good command of English (conversational level - that you'll use in your interactions with colleagues in the headquarters in Athens).
