Our client is a global leader in intralogistics solutions and material handling equipment. The company has established a business services center in Romania, bringing together professionals across a broad range of technology and operational functions.

We are now looking for a (Senior) SAP ABAP Clean Core Developer to join the central IT department and develop modern, upgrade-stable logistics solutions in the areas of SAP Transportation Management, SAP Global Track and Trace, and API-based connectivity for logistics service providers within an SAP S/4HANA landscape.

This is an opportunity to work in an international environment on complex SAP transformation initiatives, combining modern Clean Core development practices with in-depth technical expertise in transportation management, logistics visibility, enterprise integration, and carrier connectivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance SAP TM- and SAP GTT-related applications, services, and extensions within SAP S/4HANA;

• Implement API-driven and event-driven integration scenarios for logistics service providers, carriers, and logistics network connectivity;

• Design upgrade-stable services and extensions using ABAP Cloud, RAP, CDS views, released APIs, approved extension points, and modern Clean Core development concepts;

• Develop and maintain technical solutions supporting transport execution, shipment visibility, event reporting, and logistics process orchestration;

• Design interfaces between SAP and non-SAP systems, including BTP-based extensions, cloud-connected services, EDI-aware integrations, and enterprise integration patterns;

• Support logistics execution scenarios and integration points across SAP TM, SD, LE, MM, and adjacent supply chain processes;

• Work closely with requirements engineers, process analysts, product owners, architects, and business stakeholders to translate transport and visibility requirements into maintainable technical solutions;

• Contribute to solution architecture, technical documentation, testing, code reviews, deployment activities, and development governance within an agile delivery environment.

To thrive in this role, you will:

• Bring at least 3–5 years of SAP ABAP development experience, ideally within SAP S/4HANA transformation or logistics-related programs;

• Have hands-on experience with ABAP Cloud, Clean Core development principles, ABAP Development Tools, RAP, CDS views, OData, and Fiori Elements;

• Demonstrate a strong technical understanding of SAP Transportation Management processes, data models, customizing, BOPF, PPF, and logistics-related custom ABAP developments;

• Possess practical experience with API-based system integration, carrier or LSP connectivity, and SAP and non-SAP enterprise integration scenarios;

• Have knowledge of SAP Global Track and Trace, logistics visibility integrations, or event-to-action processes;

• Understand integration points between SAP TM and SAP SD, LE, MM, and related logistics execution processes;

• Communicate confidently in English at a minimum B2 level when collaborating with technical specialists, business analysts, external partners, and international stakeholders. German is an advantage, but not mandatory.
