Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer | Bucharest

Our partner is a well reputed software development center, part of one of the world’s largest banking groups. The hub operates across various programs, delivering technology products which support the banking verticals. It expands year on year, leading the bank's digital transformation and promoting its supremacy in front of its customers. 

​

The company has embarked on an ambitious Cloud Transformation journey, using GCP and its ecosystem to build and migrate applications.

​

As a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will join a new team and a greenfield project meant to create a Cloud API Management Platform, working alongside development teams and Google experts to bring it to life.

 

​

Your key responsibilities will be to:

​

  • Partner with other Cloud Platforms engineering teams to develop the API Management strategy (based on Google stack, but not limited to it).

​

  • Develop and maintain tools that automate the creation and deployment of Apigee APIs.​

​

  • Ensure availability, reliability and performance of the API platform

​

  • Write clear documentation for how custom APIs are designed and implemented, or for use of automated tooling and security controls.​

​

  • Explore new technologies, participate in POCs, provide technology assessment and recommendations to technology board members.

​

  • Engage with stakeholders to provide timely end to end delivery of technology solutions.

​

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll have:

​

  • Advanced experience developing Infrastructure as Code for platform capabilities and services using Terraform

​

  • Experience with containers and orchestrators using Docker, Kubernetes, or Helm/Ansible​

​

  • Experience with public cloud services (ideally GCP, but Azure or AWS will do as well)​ will be an asset 

​

  • Strong adopter of DevOps and Automation principles

​

  • Any previous experience building or running Microservices / API based apps in production is welcomed, but not required 

​

  • A background in software development, or knowledge of a mainstream programming language is a plus - Python, JS, Java, etc.

​

  • Fluent in English

​
