As a Big Data Developer, your role will be to:

​

• Work on developing new features of an Analytics platform that processes data in the range of trillions of signals, identifying patterns and user buying behaviors;

​

• You’ll be involved in all product development stages, from understanding business requirements, to design, development and definition and execution of integration test suites, as part of a unified engineering team;

​

• You’ll dive into researching the Analytics market and technologies, to stay up to date with the latest evolutions;

​

• You’ll keep an eye on the operations side;

​

• You’ll cover an on call rotation in case major outages occur outside of business hours.

​

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll have:

​

• Solid algorithm and logical thinking, backed by an insatiable passion for computer science, OOP and problem solving skills

​

• Solid knowledge of Java – technologies, frameworks, Java web application servers

​

• Experience writing code that is maintainable, clean and secure

​

• A thorough approach to quality, both in testing and in coding

 

 

Optional requirements:

​

• Experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, HBase, MapReduce, Kafka, etc) - or open to learn

​

• Scala & Spark knowledge - or open to learn

​

• Experience working with infrastructure (cloud providers, containers, orchestrators, VM/Bare metal deployments, etc)

​

This role best fits those Java or Scala developers who have worked with multiple applications, various tech stacks and solid engineering and coding standards and are open to integrate Big data technologies in their work.
