Our partner is a well reputed software development center, part of one of the world’s largest banking groups. The hub operates across various programs, delivering technology products which support the banking verticals. It expands year on year, leading the bank's digital transformation and promoting its supremacy in front of its customers.

The company has embarked on an ambitious Cloud Transformation journey, using GCP and its ecosystem.

​

As an Apigee Consultant, your role will be to guide the definition and implementation of the Cloud API Platform that the company wants to build as one of the first steps in this transformation.

​

​

Your key responsibilities will be to:

​

  • Use an Enterprise deployment of Google's Apigee to design, secure, implement, deploy and monitor APIs.

​

  • Develop and maintain tools that automate the creation and deployment of Apigee APIs based on Swagger or Open API specifications.​

​

  • Partner with development teams to create an API strategy appropriate for their needs. ​

​

  • Monitor performance of critical APIs in production and guide development teams into such monitoring.

​

  • Write clear documentation for how custom APIs are designed and implemented, or for use of automated tooling and security controls.​

​

  • Explore new technologies, participate in POCs, provide technology assessment and recommendations to technology board members.

​

  • Engage with stakeholders to provide timely end to end delivery of technology solutions.

​

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll have:

​

  • Experience with APIs, Apigee, gateway security (certificates), REST and SOAP (ideally, you have delivered at least one GCP Apigee Solution)​

​

  • Relevant experience of application design and development in a cloud environment (GCP or others) 

​

  • API Engineer Apigee certification is a plus (but not mandatory)

​

  • Great communication skills and a desire to work with others - excellent stakeholder management abilities.

​

  • Familiar with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD or GitHub Actions, Docker and Kubernetes

​

  • Experience designing RESTful APIs following standards such as OpenAPI, GraphQL and others in market.

​

  • Fluent in English
